Description
As Europe’s digital future becomes increasingly shaped by regulation, cybersecurity, and sovereignty concerns, infrastructure providers are no longer just carriers of data — they are custodians of trust. This keynote explores how the Baltic region, with its strong track record in digital governance, GDPR readiness, and cyber resilience, can position itself as a strategic backbone for Europe’s network and data ecosystem.
Drawing on case studies such as Estonia’s X-Road, cross-border e-governance, and Europe’s GAIA-X cloud federation, the session will highlight how compliance and security can be turned into competitive advantages. It will also address the balance regulators must strike: protecting fundamental rights while leaving space for flexibility and innovation.
